Odell, Simms & Associates Awarded Contract for Third Consecutive Year to Attract North
American Companies to China's "Golden Corridor"
Contract Renewal Opens Gateway to Dongli Economic Development Area
Falls Church, VA - May 13, 2004
Odell, Simms & Associates, Inc. announced today that its Investment Promotion Division has been awarded a contract extension to continue work for Dongli District, Tianjin, China’s third largest industrial city.
Under the arrangement, OSA will continue to provide free services to North American companies seeking to expand into China by assisting them in their due-diligence process and arranging meetings with top-level government officials and companies in the Tianjin region.
Dongli District provides its investors with a cost-effective alternative to expanding in the south of China where land and wage prices are constantly on the rise. With a pool of over 165 nearby colleges, universities, and research institutions; the largest airport for cargo transportation in North China; the largest artificial seaport in China; and a first-class network of highway and rail (Tianjin is on the Beijing-Shanghai truck-line), companies can enjoy the cheap resources of northeast China without sacrificing superior access to logistics and skilled labor.
Companies that typically approach OSA for the free services that help facilitate the penetration of China’s marketplace include those from the technology, automotive, medical, industrial manufacturing, and electronics industries.
